Volleyball adds Adriana Deming to 2024 signing class

CHEYENNE, WY – The Laramie County Community College volleyball team picked up their fifth recruit for the 2024 season with the addition of Adriana Deming from Albuquerque, New Mexico to the roster over the weekend.

The outside hitter was a standout for the Albuquerque High School Bulldogs as a four-year varsity letterman and helping to bring the team to the top 12 in Class 4A in New Mexico all four years. Not only that, but she was also named to the All-District First Team, All-Metro Fourth Team and was a member of the All-Star Red Team.

“LCCC volleyball is fortunate to add Adriana Deming to our roster for 2024,” said Head Volleyball Coach Zach Shaver. “She is a dynamic and aggressive outside hitter who will bring energy to the court every day. Her skill set and personality are exactly what we look for in an outside hitter. I believe she is a player who has a lot of potential and I am excited to see the player she will be after 2 years in our program.”

Over the last three seasons, Deming never averaged less than two kills per set, and finished those three seasons with 478 kills, including a career high 230 as a senior while hitting .246 on over 631 attempts.

She also brings a strong serving game, with 78 kills over the last two seasons. She played strong defense her final two years too, with 35 blocks between her junior and senior years and played all the way around, showing her talents in the back row with 9.7 digs per set as a senior and nearly 500 digs during her career.

Deming also shined in the classroom where she is on the way to being top five in her graduating class after being on the All-District Academic team every year in high school. She was also a recipient of the Bilingual Seal.

“I chose LCCC because the program is well supported, and the team environment is super positive and competitive,” Deming said. “Everyone in the program is working to be the best they can be, and the coaching staff is well experienced and friendly. The academic resources at LCCC are also super impressive and I look forward to becoming one of the Golden Eagles!”

Deming will join the freshman class which includes two players from Poland, along with a pair of incoming players from Nevada and Colorado.

The LCCC volleyball season is set to begin in late August, and athletes will report to campus the week of August 5th to begin official practices.
