Pair of Volleyball Players Named All-Americans

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Laramie County Community College outside hitter Carlee Morrison (Gypsum, Colorado) was voted to the NJCAA All-America second team, the National Junior College of America Association announced last Thursday.

Freshman outside hitter Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) earned honorable mention All-American.

Morrison, a sophomore from Gypsum, Colorado was named the Region IX North Player of the Year. Was among the nation's leaders in serving aces per set and total kills. Earlier this season she hit the 500-kill plateau for her career.

Nelson, a freshman from Colorado Springs, Colorado, led the Golden Eagles in kills with 472. She was also on the All-Region IX North Team.

Laramie County, which won the Region IX North Title for the first time in the programs history, finished its season with a 34-8 record and placed 10th at the NJCAA National Tournament.
