Volleyball Spring Schedule

Cheyenne, Wyo. – Laramie County Community College volleyball coach Austin Albers has released the Golden Eagle's spring tournament schedule which kicks-off on April 1st. The navy and gold will look to build off of a strong fall campaign after finishing the season ranked #17 in the final NJCAA Division I national poll and falling just three points shy of a national tournament berth at the Region IX North Tournament. The Golden Eagle's, who began spring practices on February 1st,  will look to wrap-up their spring season with numerous tests against strong NAIA, NCAA DII and NCAA DI opponents.

April 1st – University of Northern Colorado Tournament – The Golden Eagles will head to Greeley for the fourth straight year to square off against some of the region's best NCAA opponents. In previous years, LCCC has been matched-up against Colorado State University, the University of Colorado and several top RMAC schools. Tournament play will begin Saturday morning and usually stretches into the late afternoon. Golden Eagles will play at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

April 8th – Black Hills State University Tournament – Coach Albers will take the LCCC squad to his alma mater where they again will see quality RMAC opponents and have an opportunity to take on Black Hills State, Chadron State and other four year programs. Tournament play will begin on Saturday morning and usually continues into the late afternoon. Official times and opponents are still TBA.

April 14th – Air Force – The Golden Eagles will again, for the second straight year, have a solo match against an NCAA DI opponent. After a strong showing at home against the University of Wyoming last spring, LCCC will look to challenge the United States Air Force Academy team on the road in Colorado Springs. The match is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. MT, but fans should plan to arrive early and allow for extra time to get through the security checkpoints on the base.

April 22nd – University of Nebraska - Kearney Tournament – For the final event of the 2017 spring season, LCCC will travel east to Kearney, Neb. to participate in the UNK Spring Tournament for the second straight year. Last spring, the Golden Eagles finished with a 9-3 record at the tournament. The Golden Eagles will get an opportunity to see plenty of talent across the net with opportunities to match-up against UNK who finished the season ranked 5th in NCAA DII, Hastings College who won the NAIA National Championship last fall, Midland College who made an NAIA Final Four appearance and Bellevue University who was also an NAIA National Tournament contender. Official times and opponents are still TBA.
