DiGesualdo Signs with Dickinson State University

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Dickinson State University head coach Jen Hartman was present as Laramie County Community College volleyball player Makenzie DiGesualdo signed her National Letter of Intent with the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State University.

The Blue Hawks inked the 5'8 setter from Frederick, Colorado to bolster a DSU squad that was 12-20 last season. DiGesualdo dished out 3.72 assists per set. She had a season high 26 assists in the Region IX Tournament semi-final match against Western Wyoming Community College. In her LCCC career she dished out 743 assists.

Makenzie will also be able to serve the ball for the Blue Hawks as she 47 serves for aces this past season and 68 in her two seasons combined. She also recorded 313 digs for the Golden Eagles in her career. DiGesualdo helped the Golden Eagles to a 28-10 record and a second place finish at the Region IX Tournament.

"The culture at Dickinson State University is very similar to what I have experienced at LCCC and I really enjoyed that," said DiGesualdo. "I like that small town atmosphere and eager to be part of the Blue Hawks program. Coach Albers has helped me grow my game and academics over the two-years," stated DiGesualdo.

Makenzie will study Psychology at Dickinson State University.
