Volleyball Falls in Four to Northwest College

Laramie County Community College volleyball looked to be in the driver's seat Saturday afternoon in Region IX North action after taking set two and leads late in set three and four against Northwest College, but the Trappers stormed back to come-from-behind to steal set three and four and take the match 25-17, 20-25, 27-25, 31-29. This matchup feature the Golden Eagles ranked No. 20 in the country and the Trappers who came in as No. 18.

The Golden Eagles played some really good volleyball in the early part of the sets tallying a total of 45 kills in the match and a .220 hitting percentage. Golden Eagles didn't have an answer for Lauga Gauta who finished with a match high 23 kills on the night.

Preston Lienemann had a team high 11 kills for the Golden Eagles. Kyra Brandt led the squad with 20 assists and teammate Makenzie DiGesualdo had 19. Carlee Morrison led the team with 22 digs.

The Golden Eagles will look to get back to their winning ways on Friday, as they travel to Riverton, Wyoming for a match against Central Wyoming College. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
