The Laramie County Community College volleyball team defeated Colorado Northwestern Community College (25-18, 25-15 & 25-18) and Northeastern Junior College (25-17, 23-25, 25-21 & 25-23) at home on Monday evening.
Sophomore Tori Passarelli led with 13 digs in the match. Preston Lienemann contributed with 11 digs and seven kills. Makenzie DiGesualdo dished out eight assists and recorded three aces on serves.
The Golden Eagles then were tested later in the evening against Northeastern Junior College. Golden Eagles held strong late in stretches to take the match in four sets. Kyra Brandt led the way with a double-double on the night with 28 assists and 13 digs. Lienemann led in kills again with 14 kills in the match. Two other Golden Eagles had double-digit kills as Madi Taylor had 12 and Kiley Ridgway recorded 10 kills.
LCCC will now prepare for conference play, heading to Casper, Wyoming on Saturday, September 24th for a 5 p.m. match against Casper College.
