LCCC Volleyball Split in First Day of WyoBraska Invite

The Laramie County Community College Volleyball team got off to a great start by defeating Williston State College (ND) in straight sets (25-16, 25-13 & 25-22). LCCC loss later in the evening to Seward County Community College (KS) in five sets (13-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-23 & 10-15) to split in day one of the WyoBraska Invite in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

With the results on day one, LCCC is now 10-4 on the year.

Elizabeth Clark led the Golden Eagles in kills with nine, while teammate Carlee Morrison posted eight kills against Williston State College. Tori Passarelli picked up 20 digs and Kyra Brandt finished with 22 assists.

Preston Lienemann posted a double-double with 20 digs and 11 kills against Seward County. Brandt had a season high 30 assists in the match.

The Golden Eagles will return Saturday for day two of the WyoBraska in Torrington, Wyoming against #8 Salt Lake Community College and Pratt Community College. Game times are at 1 and 3 p.m.
