Originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming, Grogan attended South High School and competed in soccer and basketball.

She would compete for the Sheridan Generals for a year before moving on to UHV Texas where she would get her degree in general studies. After transfering to UHV Texas, she was named the newcomer of the year. She was a four-year college starter and a team captain for three of her years in college. 

Grogan returned to Wyoming where she would get her Psychology degree from the University of Wyoming before getting her masters in Behavioral Intervention from the University of Northern Colorado. 

She began coaching soccer at South High School in 2020 and is entering her third year coaching soccer for the Bison and her second year coaching basketball. She is also a full time special education teacher for South High School.

Her family still lives in Cheyenne and she has one brother.
