Stoeger and Loken Sign with Four Year Programs

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Two Laramie County Community College women's soccer players signed National Letters of Intent to move on to play study and play. Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming) signed with NCAA Division I University of Montana and Katie Loken (Cheyenne, Wyoming) signed with NCAA Division II Texas A&M Commerce.

Stoeger, a sophomore from Green River, Wyoming was on the Region IX First Team and started in all 19 matches for the Golden Eagles. She scored 11 goals and dished out 10 assists this season. In her two years at LCCC, she scored 31 goals and had 29 assists. She was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team. Stoeger was also named the Academic All-America Team.

The Grizzlies finished 7-9-6 this past season and won the Big Sky Conference Championship defeating Northern Colorado and reached the NCAA Tournament.

Loken, a sophomore from Cheyenne East High School was named to the NJCAA and United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team. She was the Region IX Player of the Year. Loken was a dual threat on the defensive backline and midfield for the Golden Eagles. She started all 19 matches for the Golden Eagles and helped with 10 shutouts on the season and limited the Region IX opposition to just three goals in 11 games. She scored two goals and collected three assists this past season. In two years at LCCC, she scored seven goals and dished out five assists.

The Lions finished 9-8 this past season and compete in the Lone Star Conference.
