Women’s Soccer Suffers First Loss on Road at Tyler

TYLER, Texas – The Laramie County Community College women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the young season, falling to #3 Tyler Junior College 2-1 in a road match on Sunday evening. The Golden Eagles are now 4-1 overall this season.

It was a battle for the majority of the game's 90 minutes, with LCCC holding a 12-5 shot advantage overall, including 6-5 edge after halftime. LCCC was able to find the net first in the 19th minute when Taylor Stoeger found Annie Rolf for the goal. Tyler would answer in the 25th minute with an equalizer from Lina Gomez. Tyler JC took the lead as Claire Ramet broke through finding Debora Maciel for what would prove to be the game winner.

Ellie Bowman was in goal for the Golden Eagles and made five saves. LCCC opens up Region IX play on Wednesday, when they head to Rock Springs to face Western Wyoming Community College
