Several from Women’s Soccer Earn All-Region Honors

Jemma House of Laramie County Community College, a sophomore from Newcastle, Australia was names the 2016 Region IX Player of the Year. She has 29 goals on the year which is best for fourth in the country.

House headlines a list of Golden Eagles who received All-Region IX honors. Joining House as First Team All-Region are teammates Jess Urquhart (Sydney, Australia), Sarah Erickson (Cheyenne, Wyoming), Abby Morillon (Cheyenne, Wyoming), Nikita Woods (Corrimal, Australia) and Natalie De Marco (Canberra, Australia).

Aubrianna Schneider (Green River, Wyoming) and Shauni Griffiths (Kent, England) made the All-Region Second Team. Head coach Jim Gardner was named All-Region Coach of the Year.

Erickson scored four goals on the season and dished out four assists. She has started in every match for the Golden Eagles. Urquhart has started 18 games in goal and only given up eight goals on the year. Her goal against average is eighth in the country. Morillon is second on the team in assists with 14 and has tallied 10 goals. Woods is third in goals on the team with 12. De Marco has started in all matches for the Golden Eagles and recorded six assists and a goal.

 Griffiths is leading the team in assists with 18 on the year. Those 18 assists are seventh best in the country. Schneider is a captain for the team and heads the back line for LCCC.
