Golden Eagles Defeat Northwest College 7-0

LCCC women's soccer team had early chances in both periods and took advantage of them to notch a 7-0 win at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming.

Aubrey Gessner had the first goal after 10 minutes as her shot deflected off a defender from about 14 yards out to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead. Jemma House made it 2-0 in the 29th minute when she ran onto a through ball from Nikita Woods. House then earned a pk in the 42nd minute and teammate Shauni Griffiths stepped up and converted. LCCC would lead 3-0 at the half.

Griffiths would strike again in the 59th minute on a through ball from Abby Morillon. She would complete the hat-trick in the 67 minute as Natalie De Marco chipped a ball over the top and Griffiths hit it left footed to the back post.  A minute later, Gessner would play a through ball to Elise Atkins who beat the keeper on a 1v1 for the sixth goal. Atkins tacked on the final goal in the 78th minute as she touched in a pass from Woods.
