The LCCC women's soccer team scored two goals in the first eight minutes of the game for a 2-0 win against Northwest College in their home opener.
Jemma House netted a goal two minutes into the game for a LCCC (4-1-1) lead off a pass from Abby Morillon. LCCC would get their second minutes later, as Sarah Erickson scored in the 7th minute on a feed from Shauni Griffiths.
House's goal was her 20th of her collegiate career, putting her in the top five all-time in Laramie County history. Jemma led the team with seven shots, putting four on goal. Erickson fired off four shots, putting two on frame. Jess Urquhart was got the clean sheet in goal and made three saves.
LCCC will host Sheridan College on Saturday, September 17th, at 4 p.m. at LCCC field.
