Golden Eagles Blank Northeastern JC, 6-0

The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles picked up their third win of the season in emphatic fashion with a convincing 6-0 victory over Northeastern Junior College on Saturday in Sterling, Colorado.

Jemma House scored a hat trick in a span of eight minutes for the Golden Eagles, with the first coming in the 4th minute, second came in the 5th minute and third in the 12th minute. Shauni Griffiths assisted on two of the goals with the other from Sarah Erickson.

Abby Morillon got the Golden Eagles on the board in the first minute of the game on a pass from Natalie De Marco. Score at the half was 4-0 in favor of LCCC.

Griffiths then got on the score sheet with a goal in the 48th minute and Jess Urquhart got the sixth goal in the 78th minute on a dish from Nikita Woods.

The Golden Eagles (3-1-1) out-shot the Plainswomen 37-2 overall and 23-2 on-goal.

Kelly Morine recorded two saves in goal for the Golden Eagles, while Northeastern JC goalkeeper made 17 saves.

The Golden Eagles will host Northwest College Friday Sept. 16 at 4 p.m. at LCCC. This will be the home opener for LCCC.
