Golden Eagles Add Spanish Guard

CHEYENNE, WY - The Laramie County Community College women's basketball team will once again have some international flavor on its roster next season as Ariadna Bledà will be joining the Golden Eagles from Spain.

Bledà, a 5'11" guard, played high school basketball in the Maximum Division in Catalunya, one of the best high divisions in the country. Ariadna is looking to make an immediate impact on the court and enjoy the college experience. "I want to be important for the team and help them as much as possible" Said Bledà. "I want to live an incredible experience and enjoy every single minute of it."

Over the past few seasons, the Golden Eagles have had a few players from Spain which was one of the reasons Bledà chose to attend LCCC "The reason I chose LCCC and Golden Eagles Women's Basketball was because there were some Spanish girls in the team that spoke very well of the school and the team" Said Bledà. "Furthermore, after visiting their websites and looking at all their programs I was even more convinced of choosing it."

While at LCCC, Bledà will either study the Business & Accounting Pathway Program or the Communication & Creative Arts Pathway Program in order to study marketing.

High school in Spain is a little bit different than in the United States. "In Spain, the last two years of high school are the most difficult and take from us a lot of time to do all the things we like" Said Bledà. "In my case, I've been able to lead these years while playing basketball and modeling at the same time successfully."

Off the basketball court, Bledà enjoys fashion and modeling, doing some catwalks and shootings for different brands but basketball remains her favorite hobby.
