(Cheyenne, WY) The Golden Eagles got back into the W column with a 79-66 victory over the Sheridan Generals. The Golden Eagles were lead by Haylie Anderson who notched 22 points in the winning effort. Karly Mathern chipped in 13 and Sam Hester notched 11 points. Ja'Kia Wells worked the boards for the Golden Eagles and tallied 13 rebounds including nine on the defensive end as well as two blocked shots for the Golden Eagles. The win improved the Golden Eagles to 17 - 9 overall and 6 - 4 in Region IX conference play.  The Golden Eagles shot 40% from the field and took advantage of their time at the charity strip hitting 24 of 30. Behind the arc the Golden Eagles were 9 for 29 shooting 31%.  

For the Generals, Haley McDermott lead the charge with 19 points. Julia Bartlett and Maddison Roush rounded up the top scorers with 12 and 11 points respectively. Roush added eight rebounds. The loss moved the Generals to 15 - 10 overall and 6 - 4 in Region IX North play. 

The Golden Eagles are next in action on Wednesday night, February 12 when they host Western Wyoming Community College at 5:30 in the RAC.
