LCCC Drops Late Lead to Trinidad State JC

TRINIDAD, Colorado – Freshman post Madison Hamm had a big performance for Laramie County Community College once again Friday evening as the Fort Collins native delivered 13 points for the Golden Eagles. In the end it was not enough as the Golden Eagles fell to Trinidad State Junior College 51-45 in Trinidad.

The Golden Eagles recorded 24 turnovers in the game, with many of them in the fourth quarter. LCCC led after three quarters but were unable to hold off the Trojans. LCCC (8-14) shot 37.5 percent from the floor in the game.

Hamm nearly completed the double-double by securing nine rebounds to go with her13 points. Darian Hale, Aubrey Goodrick and Randi Elisson posted six points for the Golden Eagles. LCCC shot 35.3 percent from the 3-point line and 64.3 percent from the foul line.

Laramie County continues its road trip Tuesday with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff against Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
