Indians Hold Off LCCC

McCOOK, NE – The Laramie County Community College had its winning streak snapped Saturday afternoon as the Lady Indians defeated Laramie County 90-80 in McCook, Nebraska.

The Golden Eagles fall to (6-8) overall with the loss and will look to get back into the winning column Wednesday evening when they visit Northeastern Junior College. Game time is 5:30 p.m. in Sterling, Colorado.

Katelyn Smith and Caylin Arnold scored a team-high 18 points. Smith pulled down eight rebounds. Two other Golden Eagles scored in double figures. Mariah Sheets finished the night with 17 points, Darian Hale added 10 points.

The Golden Eagles shot 48.1 percent (25-of-52) from the floor on the night, and were 8-of-16 (50%) from three-point range. LCCC held the advantage in rebounds 36-21.
