CHEYENNE, WY - Jared Ramos (Thornton, Colo.) scored twice in a 2-0 Golden Eagles win over Northeastern to open the Region IX Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Ramos opened the scoring in the 34th minute, chipping in a feed delivered from Carlos Vargas (Heber City, Utah) to open the scoring. The goal was Ramos' first goal of his career. 

One minute later, Ramos extended the Golden Eagles' advantage to 2-0, punching in a ball delivered by Ethan Mathis.

The Golden Eagles controlled play in the second half while goalkeeper Declan Domyan (Johannesburg, South Africa) kept the Plainsmen off the scoreboard, stopping all six Northeastern shots on target.

LCCC advances to the semi-final round and will face Trinidad State on Friday in Casper.
