Eagles, Plainsmen Play to Scoreless Draw

CHEYENNE, WY - There was nothing to split the two sides in the final regular-season game of the season as the Golden Eagles (5-2-2) and Northeastern (5-3-2) played to a scoreless draw Wednesday night.

For the third consecutive game, and for the fifth time this season, the Golden Eagles went to overtime, this time after a scoreless first 90 minutes.

The Golden Eagles controlled possession for a majority of the first half but could not produce a goal, resulting in a scoreless first 45 minutes.

Goalkeeper Declan Domyon (Johannesburg, South Africa) made six saves in the tie while both Omar Castruita (Boulder, Colo.) and Jonathan Jimenez-Flores (Longmont, Colo.) recorded three shots on goal.

The Golden Eagles will be the three seed in the Refion IX Tournament and will host Northeastern on Sunday, May 16 in the first round.
