CHEYENNE, WYOMING – The Laramie County Community College men's soccer team was at home on Saturday afternoon for a Region IX North match-up against Sheridan College. The Generals won 4-2 in a battle for the second seed.

Nicolas Parris took advantage of poor clearance from the Golden Eagles in the 11^th minute to put Sheridan up 1-0. Keino Davids made it 2-0 in the 21^st minute on a goal off a corner kick. Matt Wren (Welwyn, England) scored for the Golden Eagles in the 41^st minute to cut the lead in half. The Generals scored in the 73^rd and 79^th minute. Hector Quezada (Rock Springs, Wyoming) scored in the 89^th minute on a cross from Nick Rizo (Aurora, Colorado).

The Golden Eagles outshot the Generals 17-8 in the match but Sheridan College held the advantage in shots on goal 7-5. LCCC had the edge in corner kicks 9-8. Brady Mangel (Thornton, Colorado) was in net for LCCC and made three saves.

The Golden Eagles will travel to Gillette College on Tuesday afternoon for a 1:00 PM kickoff for the final Region IX North match.
