The Laramie County Community College Men's Soccer team captured the 2016 Region IX Championship with 1-0 victory against Trinidad State Junior College on Sunday at Metro State University. The win moves the Golden Eagles to 17-2 on the year.

Laramie County would strike in the 13th minute as Rafael Munoz combined with Caleb Rondon for the goal. The goal by Munoz now gives him 13 on the season. LCCC would lead 1-0 at the half.
