LCCC Men's Soccer Defeats Western Wyoming in Rock Springs

The Laramie County Community College men's soccer team picked up its sixth consecutive win with a 5-0 victory over Western Wyoming Community College on Saturday afternoon.

Francisco Garcia broke a scoreless first half in the 19th minute when he found the net on a far post shot on a pass from Rafael Munoz. Just as the midway point was approaching Jordan Garcia teamed up with Adrian Cordova in the 45 minute as Cordova would cut in and blast his shot by the Mustangs keeper for 2-0 lead at the break.

LCCC would continue to attack with numbers forward and were rewarded again the 56th minute as Munoz converted on a free kick from 19yds out. Sophomore Caleb Rondon got in on the action as he tucked away his shot in the 64th minute on a cross from Francisco Garcia. Dana Smith scored the fifth in the 75th minute on a rebound at the top of the box.

The Golden Eagles are now 7-2 on the year and will host Northeastern Junior College at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Cheyenne South High School.
