Men's Soccer Drops Northwest College, 4-1

The Laramie County Community College men's soccer team (4-2) moved its winning streak to three with a 4-1 victory over Northwest College (0-3) Friday afternoon.

After being on the road for the first five games of the season, the Golden Eagles were thrilled to be back at home where they have been very successful. Both teams had good chances in the first few minutes but were unable to get on the board. Freshman Jorge Rosales got the Golden Eagles on the board in the 24th minute as he slotted home a pass from Tristan White. Rosales would tally his second goal in the 37th minute as he got on the end of a cross from Francisco Garcia. The score would be 2-0 at the half.

LCCC added a third in the 52nd minute when White netted the ball from three yards out on a pass from Rafael Munoz. It was White's third goal of the season and 13th of his LCCC career. Blaine Christenson got the fourth for LCCC in the 62nd minute off a set piece cross from Munoz.

With time winding down the Trappers would break down the backline of the Golden Eagles and get a late goal from Jay Younger in the 87th minute set.

Laramie County offense continued to roll as the Golden Eagles have scored a goal in each of their matches and recorded 21 shots against the Trappers, while Northwest fired off 10 shots. Both teams earned four corner kicks and committed 14 fouls in the contest.

The Golden Eagles continue home stretch on Saturday hosting Sheridan College at 1:30 p.m.
