Men's Soccer Defeats Central Community College, 7-1

The Laramie County Community College scored seven unanswered goals on Central Community College in a 7-1 win on Friday in Columbus, Nebraska.

The Raiders got on the board first in the 2nd minute of the game on a goal by Jose Flores. It didn't take long for the Golden Eagles to respond as sophomore Caleb Rondon knotted it up in the 5th minute on a pass from freshman Blaine Christenson. Francisco Garcia gave the Golden Eagles the lead in the 13th minute as he ran onto a pass from Rafael Munoz. Adrian Cordova tacked on the third in the 27th minute as Tristan White led him to goal. Munoz would get a goal right before the half on a pass from Jacob Alvarez.

Alvarez would get the fifth in the 50th minute on a cross from Jordan Garcia. In the 60th minute, Jonathan Ruvalcaba line a rope into the back of the net on a feed from Oswaldo Delgado. Rondon would get the final goal of the game in the 63rd minute and Alvarez was credited with the assist.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Raiders 34-5 and LCCC would put 18 shots-on-goal.

Jordan Garcia led the Golden Eagles (2-2) with eight shots in the game, while the Raiders were led by Jhereese Walker with two.

Andrew Hays stopped three shots for the Golden Eagels, while Adrian Ramos had 11 saves for the Raiders.

Next up for the Golden Eagles is a matchup Saturday at Northeastern Junior College beginning at 3 p.m. in Sterling, Colorado.
