Oliver Scores 26 in Loss at Casper

CASPER, WY - The Golden Eagles (5-10, 2-1) fought back from a 13-point deficit to take a late second-half lead before falling to Casper (6-6, 1-2) 81-77 on Wednesday night.

Erik Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyo.) once again put in a strong performance, scoring a game-high 26 points, shooting 4-7 from the three-point line.

LCCC got off to a slow start, falling behind early in the first half. Casper took a 39-26 lead into the break. 

Arion Lews (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored just two points in the first half before scoring 15 of his 17 in the second, helping the Golden Eagles get back into the game.

The Golden Eagles took a lead midway through the second half and had their largest lead of the game at 58-55 with 8:18 to play.

Ghared Boyce (Brockton, Mass.) came off the bench and scored 14 points.

LCCC was within two points with 12 seconds left to play before Casper hit a pair of free throws to put the game away.

The Golden Eagles are home on Saturday, hosting Western Wyoming at 4:00 pm.
