TORRINGTON, Wyoming – Laramie County Community College dropped a heart-breaking 69-57 decision to Eastern Wyoming College, Wednesday evening at EWC Gymnasium.

Laramie County (11-18, 4-9 Region IX North) raced out to an early lead but the teams were deadlocked 31-31 at halftime. Eastern Wyoming grew the lead in the second half outscoring the Golden Eagles 38-26 in the half.

Daequan Spragion (Brooklyn, New York) scored a team-high 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including a 2-of-5 mark from behind the three-point line. Mateo Zovko (Mostar, Bosnia) produced 15 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds. Cortney Dean (Denver, Colorado) chipped in with 14 points and six assists.

Laramie County will be back in action Saturday when it travels to take on Region IX North Central Wyoming College. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at the Rustler Gym.
