Cheyenne, Wyoming – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team fell to Gillette College in overtime 98-90 at home. The Pronghorns outscored the Golden Eagles 17-9 in the overtime for the win.
Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) and Daequan Spragion (Brooklyn, New York) finished the game with 22 points each. Spragion also had seven assists, four rebounds and went 5-for-5 at the free throw line. Mateo Zovko (Mostar, Bosnia) recorded 21 points. Kyle Cabs (Denver, Colorado) pulled down nine rebounds. Bradley Akhile led all scorers with 30 for the Pronghorns.
LCCC shot 31-of-82 from the field for 37.8 percent, 10-of-29 from the three-point line for 34.5 percent and 16-of-22 at the free throw line for 72.7 percent. Gillette shot 30-of-55 for 54.5 percent from the field, 12-of-24 from the three-point line for 50 percent and 26-of-31 from the foul line for 83.9 percent.
The Golden Eagles are set to travel and take on Eastern Wyoming College in a Region IX North game on Wednesday February 20th, tip off is set for 7:30 p.m.
