Taliaferro’s 22 Points Not Enough in Loss to Snow

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Landon Taliaferro (Boulder, Colorado) finished with a game-high 22 points in an 81-72 loss to Snow College on Friday evening at College of Southern Idaho.

Laramie County (8-8) jumped out to a great start and held an 11-point lead before a 17-6 run by the Badgers put them even with the Golden Eagles 35-35 at the half.

Elijah Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyoming) had 19 points in 39 minutes along with Zaire Mateen (Queens, New York) who added 13 points. Solomon Iluyomade (London, England) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Laramie County battled back in the second half and led by seven with 9:14 left to play. The Badgers would then go on a 16-1 run to take a 65-59 lead with 5:22 remaining. From there on the Golden Eagles were unable to close the gap.

LCCC shot 38.4 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from the 3-point line and 66.7 percent from the free throw line.

Snow (10-3) was led by Logan Hokanson with 17 points and four assists. Jayden Coke had 13 points, Romain Boxus and Traycer Wilson added 12 and Stockton Shorts had 11 points.

Laramie County will play host #8 College of Southern Idaho on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m.
