LCCC Men’s Basketball Falls at Central Wyoming, 114-93

RIVERTON, Wyo. – Elijah Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyoming) led the Laramie County Community College men's basketball team with 33 points in a 114-93 loss to Central Wyoming College on Friday evening in Riverton.

Laramie County (2-3) trailed 59-49 at the half and could pull off another great comeback. LCCC struggled to keep pace with as the Rustlers pulled away in the second half.

Central Wyoming finished with six players in double figures, led by Irshaad Hunte with 24 points. Henry Tanksley had 17 points, Marquis White and Romario Spence added 16 and Devon Colley and Broc Finstuen each finished with 12 points to round out the Rustlers' o.

Landon Taliaferro (Boulder, Colorado) 12 points on 3-11 from the field with three three-pointers. Two Golden Eagles – Zaire Mateen (Queens, New York) and Solomon Iluyomase (London, England) finished with 10 points each.

LCCC shot 47.1 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from the outside.

The Rustlers held a 44-25 edge in rebounds, got to the line 28 times with 21 made free throws.

Laramie County will take on Western Wyoming Community College on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
