CHEYENNE – Dominik Heinzl (Uzov, Czech Republic) accounted for 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead Laramie County Community College (18-9, 10-3) in a 92-75 South-Sub Region win over North Platte Community College (16-7, 6-7) Wednesday in the RAC.

The Golden Eagles will host McCook Community College on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Heinzl was having his way early in the first half scoring down low on the block. The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 10 point lead in the first seven minutes of the game, 12-2. Da'Zhon Wyche (Anchorage, Alaska) converted a short range jumper to push the lead to 19, 23-4 as the midway point of the first half approached. An Alfonzo Anderson (Newark, New Jersey) three-pointer to close out the half game them the 45-30 advantage at the break.

North Platte would start the second half with a little run but the Golden Eagles responded with a run of their own and pushed the lead back to as many as 18.

LCCC wrapped up the day shooting 35-of-62 from the floor for 56.5 percent. North Platte shot 47.9 percent from the floor 23-of-48.

Wyche finished the game with a double-double 16 points and 11 assists. Three other Golden Eagles scored in double figures: Ola Ayodele (London, England) added 14 points while Anderson and Elijah Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyoming) provided 13 points.

Godfrey Rolle led the Knights with 26 points on 6-of-7 from the three-point line.
