Golden Eagles Capture Road Win at North Platte, 92-85

NORTH PLATTE, NE – Freshman point guard Da'Zhon Wyche had a career high 36 points as Laramie County Community College men's basketball team captured a 92-85 road win over North Platte Community College Wednesday night in North Platte, Nebraska.

The Golden Eagles (10-7, 4-1) have now won 10 of last 12 games after starting a 0-5 start to the season and will look for their third win in a row Saturday when they travel to McCook Community College in another South-Sub Region contest. Game time is 3 p.m. at McCook.

Wyche led all scorers in the evening, led the team in assists with four on the night and committed zero turnovers in the game. Elijah Oliver finished the game with 23 points, while Dominik Heinzl added 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds. LCCC shot 52.5 percent (32-61) from the field and were 10-of-20 (50%) from three-point range. The Golden Eagles shot 66.7 percent (18-27) from the free-throw line as a team.
