Golden Eagles Open Sub-Region with 110-94 Road Win at Eastern Wyoming

TORRINGTON, Wyoming – Behind point guard Da'Zhon Wyche's 29 points and nine rebounds, Laramie County Community College Men's Basketball moved to 6-5 overall and 1-0 in South Sub-Region play with a 110-94 road win Wednesday night over Eastern Wyoming College.

Wyche, a freshman from Anchorage, Alaska, knocked down seven of his 17 shot attempts and made four of his eight three-point shots. Elijah Oliver added 22 points with 18 of them coming from the three-point line.

LCCC led 53-41 at the half and shot 61.8 percent from the field to go along with 57.1 percent from the three-point line.

Sophomore Harrison Meads made all eight of his shot attempts and scored 17 points. Meads added 11 rebounds to his stats. Fellow sophomore Dominik Heinzl chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and a block.

LCCC made 57.1 percent of its shots for the game and held Eastern Wyoming to 47.4 percent. The Lancers were 40 percent from the three-point line. From the three-point line, the Golden Eagles made 12 of their 23 attempts.

The Golden Eagles return home with a 4 p.m. contest Saturday against Western Nebraska Community College.
