Golden Eagles Victorious in Second Game of Mustang Invite

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming – The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles closed out the weekend of the Mustang Invitational with an 80-61 win against USU-Eastern Utah on Saturday.

In what was a closely contested contest early on, the Golden Eagles (5-5) managed to gain some separation from the Golden Eagles of USU-Eastern Utah late in the first half. LCCC would ultimately put the game out of reach with a strong second half, on their way to their fifth consecutive win.

Elijah Oliver was one of four Golden Eagles to score double-figures as he posted 16 points, knocking down four three-pointers. Ola Ayodele would add 15 points and 11 assists while Harrison Meads chipped in with 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Da'Zhon Whyche added 11 points.

USU-Eastern was led by Cameron Bailey who had 21 points and 11 rebounds on the afternoon.

On Wednesday, The Golden Eagles will begin South-Sub Region play on the road against Eastern Wyoming College at 7 p.m.
