LCCC Falls 116-93 to College of Southern Idaho

Laramie County Community College shot 51.6 percent from the field but couldn't gain the victory in a 116-93 loss Saturday afternoon at LCCC Gymnasium.

CSI led 55-38 at the half and maintained a double-digit lead over the Golden Eagles for most of the second half.

The Golden Eagles drop to 0-2 overall. Alfonzo Anderson led the Golden Eagles with 22 points and post player Dominik Heinzl added 18 points. Da'Zhon Wyche, Elijah Oliver and Harrison Meads were the other Golden Eagles in double figures with 17, 16 and 12 points respectively. Wyche and Ola Ayodele dished out four assists.

LCCC made 55.9 percent of its second-half shots and finished the game at 51.6 percent. The Golden Eagles were 9-24 from the three-point line. CSI shot 63.6 percent from the field and were 17-27 from the three-point line for 63 percent.

Casdon Jardine led Southern Idaho with 20 points. Jake Hendricks registered 18 points, all coming from the three-point line.

The Golden Eagles now hit the road for the Central Wyoming Classic. LCCC travels to Riverton for games against Sheridan College and Central Wyoming College next Friday and Saturday. Match up against Sheridan College is at 5:30 p.m.
