CHEYENNE, WY - The Laramie County Community College athletics department had a strong Fall semester when it came to work in the classroom and the department as a whole finished 2023 with a 3.03 cumaltive GPA across eight sports. 

The top GPA came from the LCCC volleyball team, who finished with an astounding 3.91 GPA. They were followed closely by women's soccer, who finished with a 3.35, and by the LCCC Esports team, who wrapped up the first semester with a 3.29, which is the best GPA the program has ever had in a semester. 

Five total programs finished with GPA's above 3.0. Women's basketball ended the Fall with a 3.07 and the men's rodeo team completed their first semester with a 3.02. Rounding out the eight teams for LCCC were the women's rodeo team with a 2.85, the men's soccer team with a 2.54, and the men's basketball team with a 2.33.

As a group, the Golden Eagles had 31 student athletes finish with a 4.0 GPA, and another 30 finished with GPA's between 3.5 and 3.99.
