CHEYENNE, WY – The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles took care of the Trappers in straight sets on Saturday afternoon.
In Region IX North play against Northwest College, the LCCC volleyball team secured its second win in row by a score of 25-18, 25-23, 25-14 at home.
The Golden Eagles (6-20 overall, 4-2 Region IX North) fended off a rally in the second set by Northwest and were in control in the first and third set.
The Golden Eagles started the afternoon strong, jumping out to an early lead with kills from Cassidy Nelson (South Jordan, Utah). LCCC maintained the momentum to take the first set 25-18.
As a team, LCCC had 40 kills and a hitting percentage of .287 in the match. The Golden Eagles only committed 11 errors on the afternoon.
The Golden Eagles are on the road Friday Oct. 18th at Western Wyoming Community College. First set is scheduled for 6 p.m.
