Volleyball Advances After Sweeping Sheridan

Sheridan, WY – Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) had a team-high 17 kills to lead Laramie County Community College to its 10th straight win in a 25-22, 25-16, 25-19 victory over Sheridan College in the Region IX North Quarter-final match up.

The Golden Eagles improved to 30-6 overall and now have the most wins in program history passing the 2009 team that won 29.

Kylie Martin (Gypsum, Colorado) finished with 10 kills for LCCC. Libero Macy Bourn (Frederick, Colorado) had 10 digs to lead the Golden Eagles, who got 47 assists from Kyra Brandt (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Kyle Meltzer (Fort Collins, Colorado) and Sydney Montoya (Cheyenne, Wyoming) finished with eight and six digs respectively.

Payton Stack (Casper, Wyoming) and Carlee Morrison (Gypsum, Colorado) each had nine kills. Stack led the team in blocks with five.

Laramie County will now meet up with Northwest College tomorrow Nov. 3rd at 4 p.m. for a spot in the Championship game.
