SHERIDAN, WY – Kylie Martin (Gypsum, Colorado) recorded 12 kills and had no errors, while Jessica Benedict (Wright, Wyoming) finished with eight kills to lift Laramie County Community College to a three-set victory over Miles Community College on Wednesday in a Region IX North Tournament first round matchup.

The Golden Eagles won the sets 25-12, 25-9, 25-12. LCCC earned its ninth straight victory.

Laramie County is now 29-6 overall and will move to the quarter-finals and square off with the winner between Sheridan College and Western Wyoming Community College on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) had six kills for the Golden Eagles, who got seven digs from Macy Bourn (Fredrick, Colorado) and five service aces from Carlee Morrison (Gypsum, Colorado). Setter Kyra Brandt (Amsterdam, Netherlands) had 27 assists for LCCC.
