TORRINGTON, Wyoming – The #16 Laramie County Community College volleyball team came out to play from the get go on Wednesday night for a 25-15, 25-18, 25-17 sweep over Eastern Wyoming College in Region IX North action.

The Golden Eagles (24-6, 9-1) had 32 kills as a team and hit .229 on the night.

Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) led the way with 11 kills in the win for LCCC, which also got 10 kills and eight digs from Carlee Morrison (Gypsum, Colorado). Kyra Brandt (Amsterdam, Netherlands) had 24 assists in the win along with seven digs and a service ace. Kylie Martin (Gypsum, Colorado) added six kills and four service aces and Macy Bourn (Frederick, Colorado) made eight digs to help lead the defense for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles will host Sheridan College at 7 p.m. on Friday.
