Golden Eagles Take Down Central Wyoming

CHEYENNE, WY – The Laramie County Community College volleyball team won in straight sets, 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-21) at home against Central Wyoming College on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Kylie Martin (Gypsum, Colorado) finished the afternoon with 16 kills to lead the Golden Eagles. Fellow freshman Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) connected on 12 kills. Sophomore Kyra Brandt (Amsterdam, Netherlands) recorded a team-high 36 assists.

Freshman Macy Bourn (Frederick, Colorado) led the Golden Eagles defense with 13 digs, closely followed by Carlee Morrison (Gypsum, Colorado) who had 10.

LCCC outhit CWC .204 to .186 in the match.

The Golden Eagles continue the home stand as they host Eastern Wyoming College on Tuesday Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
