Late surge leads Golden Eagles past Rustlers

RIVERTON, WY - The No. 16 Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles (9-2-2, 5-2-1) scored three second-half goals to beat Central Wyoming (2-10, 0-6) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Goalkeeper London Ewing (Alpine, Utah) kept the Rustlers off the board in the first half, stopping the only shot she faced in the half.

The Golden Eagles opened the scoring in the 73rd minute when Erika Scivally (Saratoga Springs, Utah) scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Sophie Osman (Glasgow, Scotland) to give the Golden Eagles the lead. 

Paige Hill (Casper, Wyo.) made it a 2-0 game with a goal in the 80th minute, her first of her career, off a pass from Jenaya Brown (Edmonton, Alberta). Brown then scored her seventh of the season in the 90th minute off a feed from Ainsley Basich (Cheyenne, Wyo.) extending the lead to 3-0 in the final minute. 

The Golden Eagles return home on Wednesday, hosting Western Nebraska at 3:30 pm.
