CHEYENNE, WY - The No. 13 ranked Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles (7-2-2) beat Otero (2-4) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles got off to a quick start as Jayla Wulff (Laramie, Wyo.) scored in the 6th minute off a free-kick from Sam Murray (Clinton, Utah) to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead. 

LCCC's defense kept the Rattlers quiet in the first half, allowing just four shots and only one on target in the first 45 minutes.

Andi Hunsicker (Douglas, Wyo.) extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 30th minute, hitting a shot from 25 yards out.

Hunsicker made it a 3-0 lead with a goal in the 80th minute, finishing on a pass from Ainsley Basich (Cheyenne, Wyo.). 

Otero scored a goal in the 87th minute to cut the Golden Eagles' lead to 3-1.

Nia Trejo (Lehi, Utah) made three saves in her first start of the season.

The Golden Eagles head to Powell to face Northwest on Friday, October 1 at 1:00 pm.
