Golden Eagles Overwhelm Trappers

CHEYENNE, WY - Freshman Jayla Wulff (Laramie, Wyo.) scored her first career goal and picked up an assist in a Golden Eagles (9-0) 4-0 win over Northwest (1-7) on Saturday afternoon. 

The Golden Eagles opened the scoring in the 30th minute thanks to Grace Roswadovski (Gillette, Wyo.) beat the keeper on a shot from inside the 18-yard box. Ainsley Basich (Cheyenne, Wyo.) added another just three minutes later, knocking in a free-kick from Jessica Lemmon (Arvada, Colo.) to extend the Golden Eagles' advantage to 2-0. 

After a scoreless 51 minutes, Wulff scored the first goal of her career, knocking in a free-kick from Sam Murray (Clinton, Utah) to up the lead to 3-0. Lauren Amerena (West Sussex, England) capped the scoring, connecting from 20-yards out in the 90th minute on a feed from Wulff.

The Golden Eagles outshot Northwest 40-1 as Larrisa Sitzler (Hamburg, Germany) recorded her second shutout of the weekend.

LCCC hosts Western Nebraska at 2:00 pm on Wednesday.
