CHEYENNE, WY - Lauren Amerena (West Sussex, England) secured the hat trick, scoring three goals in a Golden Eagles (2-0) 4-1 win over Hill College (0-2) on Saturday afternoon. 

The Golden Eagles wasted no time getting things started on Saturday as Amerena opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, scoring from six yards out, beating the keeper to the back post, giving the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead. 

Amerena added to the lead five minutes later, connecting on a free-kick from 35 yards out to extend the Golden Eagles lead to 2-0 just seven minutes in. 

It took until the second half for Amerena to finish the hat trick, scoring her third goal of the game in the 49th minute, smashing in a pass off a free kick from 25 years out to push the advantage to 3-0.

After Hill scored in the 57th minute, Ainsley Basich (Cheyenne, Wyo.) put the game out of reach with a goal in the 77th minute, heading in a corner from Jenaya Brown (Edmonton, Alberta), extending the lead to 4-1. Brown finished the game with two assists.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, hosting Casper at 4:00 pm.
