#4 LCCC Women’s Soccer Dominate Play in 4-0 Win

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – The #4 Laramie County Community College women's soccer team turned in a dominating performance at LCCC Soccer Field on Sunday, as they won 4-0 against Trinidad State Junior College.

The Golden Eagles (12-0-1 overall, 9-0 Region IX) came out firing away and put the first goal in the net in the 33rd minute when Faith Meredith (Cheyenne, Wyoming) blasted a shot inside the post from about 18 yards out for the 1-0 lead. Beyonce Robinson (Ontario, Canada) had the assist.

Laramie County kept blasting away, outshooting the visiting Trojans (6-6 overall) 22-10 in the contest. Thalita Portela Faria (Sao Paulo, Brazil) doubled the lead in the 58th minute as she finished a cross from Taylor Meyrick (Cheyenne, Wyoming). Robinson made it 3-0 in the 60th minute as she finished a pass from Meredith. Meredith would get her second of the day in the 71st minute on a pass from Darby Whiteley (Bungendore, Australia).

Lariss Sitzler (Hamburg, Germany) finished with three saves in goal for the Golden Eagles. Jil Turner (Peyton, Colorado) came on with 20 minutes to go and recorded three saves.

LCCC is back in action next Saturday when they host Western Wyoming Community College on Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. at the LCCC Soccer Field.
