CHEYENNE, WY – The Golden Eagle women's soccer team inched closer to another Region IX regular season title with a win Saturday afternoon against Otero Junior College.

The Golden Eagles brought the intensity and picked up a 3-0 win in Region IX play.

The Golden Eagles (11-0-1 overall, 9-0 Region IX) scored in the 13^th minute off the foot of Faith Meredith (Cheyenne, Wyoming) to give LCCC the lead. Cristina de Andres (Baleres, Spain) doubled the lead in the 30^th minute off a pass from Lauren Amerena (West Sussex, England).

Beyonce Robinson (Ontario, Canada) added a third in the 83^rd minute.

LCCC outshot Otero 26-2 in the game. Goalies Larissa Sitzler (Hamburg, Germany) and Jil Turner (Peyton, Colorado) did not have to record a save in the game.

LCCC returns to action to host Trinidad State Junior College at LCCC Soccer Field on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
