CHEYENNE, WY – #10 LCCC women's soccer defeated Cloud County Community College, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon in Cheyenne.

Laramie County faced its second opponent of the year and a team that went to the NJCAA National Tournament two years ago.

The Golden Eagles were able to find their rhythm on offense in the opening minutes with a goal from Beyonce Robinson (Ontario, Canada) off a pass from Faith Meredith (Cheyenne, Wyoming) in the 4^th minute.

CCCC's Aroe Neto scored the first goal for Cloud in the 9^th minute to draw even at 1-1. For the rest of the half the Golden Eagles weren't able to find their rhythm on offense.

Meredith regained the lead for the Golden Eagles in the 51^st minute on a penalty kick. Cloud answered with a goal in the 59^th minute from Franciele Cupertino. Meredith would score two more in the 71^st and 72^nd minute to complete the hat trick. Avery Potter (Casper, Wyoming) and Robinson would be credited with the assists. 

Jil Turner made her first start of the season in goal. Larrisa Sitzler came on after nine minutes and finished the game.

LCCC will face #7 Lewis & Clark in the first of two matches over the weekend on Saturday at 12 p.m. CST in Wichita, Kansas.
