Golden Eagles Put Up Another Strong Performance with 3-0 Win

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – The Golden Eagles played hard all game during their home win Wednesday.

The Laramie County Community College women's team pulled a 3-0 win over Gillette College.

The Golden Eagles (5-4, 3-0) did well in the first half, scoring early in the 8th minute when Christina De Andres (Balers, Spain) got on the end of a corner kick from Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England). LCCC would get the second goal off of another corner kick this time Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming) finding Katie Loken (Cheyenne, Wyoming) in the 29th minute to double the lead. The Golden Eagles went into halftime up 2-0.

De Andres made it 3-0 10 minutes into the second half, when stoeger found Loken who played De Andres in to goal. LCCC had plenty of scoring chances with 28 shots in the game and 15 of those on frame.

Ellie Bowman (Essex, England) finished with three saves in goal for the Golden Eagles, who will be on the road on Saturday when they travel to Sheridan College at 4 p.m.
