Golden Eagles Pull a 6-0 Win Over Northwest

POWELL, Wyoming – The women's soccer team won their second match in a row with a 6-0 win against Northwest College on the road making their record at 4-4 now.

The Golden Eagles wasted no time in the first half by taking a 3-0 lead at the break. NC wouldn't test the goal much at all game with only two shots taken in the match. Faith Meredith (Cheyenne, Wyoming) scored the first two goals in the 31st and 33rd minute on assists from Abree Hill (Casper, Wyoming) and Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England). Noemi Amaro (Gering, Nebraska) got the third goal in the 35th minute on a pass from Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming).

The offense continued for the Golden Eagles in the second half as Meredith would complete the hat trick in the 61st minute on another assist by Rolf. Rolf would then get in the scoring column in the 66th minute on an assist from Alexis Hobbs (Kent, England). Amaro recorded the sixth goal in the 80th minute on a pass from Katie Loken (Cheyenne, Wyoming). Ellie Bowman protected the box with only having to make one save in the game.

LCCC is now 2-0 in Region IX North play and outshot the Trappers 31-2 in the contest. The next game for the women's soccer team will take on Gillette College at home on Wednesday, Sept. 19th.
